# is a lifestyle app developed by birdDev. It is available on the Android platform and is free to download and use.
This app is a digital version of the popular Thai Buddhist chanting, Phra Katha Chinabanchorn. It is believed to have been composed by the monks of the Lanna region and is considered a significant chant in Thai Buddhist rituals since the Ayutthaya period. The chant has been modified and improved by Phra Phutthacharn (Toh Prommarangsi), the 5th abbot of Wat Rakhang Kositaram during the reign of King Rama IV.
The Phra Katha Chinabanchorn chant is also found in Myanmar and Sri Lanka. It is recommended to start reciting the chant on a Thursday, preferably in the morning. The app provides instructions on how to properly recite the chant and suggests using flowers, incense, and candles as offerings.
By regularly reciting the Phra Katha Chinabanchorn, it is believed that one can attract good luck, ward off enemies, and receive blessings from various deities. Before starting the chant, it is advised to pay respects to the Buddha and recite a short prayer.
